Another Crafty Secrets card

I've made another card using a digital stamp from Crafty Secrets - this one is from the Bird Notes set which is definitely one of my favourites.

I printed the stamp on to cream cardstock and then coloured it using Derwent Inktense pencils.

Materials used: cream cardstock, Crafty Secrets digital stamp, Derwent Inktense pencils, Papermania Regency papers, Ranger Distress ink,  unknown make of ribbon and pins.

Another Crafty Secrets card

Here's another Crafty Secrets card but instead of stamping this one uses part of the Birds and Blossoms Creative Scraps.

I used cream cardstock for the base and used Distress Ink around the edges then layered up various Kaisercraft papers, lace and the picture.

I added a metal photo corner which I painted with Vintaj patinas and then added paper roses, a K & Co sentiment sticker and some "grassy bits" which I was given by my Mother-in-law.

Materials used: cream cardstock, Ranger Distress inks, Crafty Secrets Creative Scraps, Kaisercraft Sweet Nothings papers, K & Co Beyond Postmarks sticker, metal corner, Vintaj patinas, lace, lace leaves and lace circle, paper roses, "grass".

Wild Orchid Challenge 93 - Anything Goes - A Crafty Secrets tag

I have a ton of gorgeous paper flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts so decided to make a tag to enter for the latest challenge of Anything Goes.

The tag was made using scrap card and then I used Paperartsy Fresco paints with the crackle medium. Oh how I love this effect!! I then added a few bits of doilies.

I used a digital image from Crafty Secrets' Fairy Wishes set which I printed on to cream card and then coloured with Spectrum Noir pens and Derwent metallic pencils. I used the clear stamps from the Fairyland set for the sentiment.

The leaves on wire were from my stash but the beads on wire were made by me. I added flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and some Stickles to highlight the flowers and edges of the tag.

Materials used: scrap cardstock, Paperartsy Freso paints and crackle, Dovecraft doilies, Crafty Secrets digital stamp and clear stamps (as above), Spectrum Noir pens, Derwent Metallic pencils, Wild Orchid flowers, wire embellishment, wire and beads, Stickles, lace and ribbon.

I made it.....

Yes, I finally made it to my crafting corner woo-hoo!!!!

Here's a tag made with stamps from Hampton Arts/Graphic 45, Viva Las Vegas stamps and Crafty Secrets stamps.

I  think I may need a new glasses prescription though as some of that fussy cutting was an absolute nightmare!!
The tag was coloured using Distress inks. All the stamps were inked using brown Memento ink and then coloured using Derwent Inktense pencils.
I added a bit of Stickles glitter glue to the wings and on the top of the fungi.

Crafty Secrets - What's the Buzz?

I'm on a roll with another item for the Crafty Secrets Linky Party on the blog!! Having coloured my last Crafty Secrets stamp with watercolour pencils I wanted to have a go with my Spectrum Noir pens this time.

I used a stamp from the Bug's Life stamp set which I stamped using Memento ink on to white card already die-cut in a hexagonal shape, coloured with my pens and then distressed the edges using Distress inks.

After that I lost my way a bit and after lots of playing around with patterned papers diecut in to hexagons I finally decided on the final layout although I'm still not sure about it!!

I used sequin waste and distress ink to add a bit of texture around the edges.

Crafty Secrets - Garden Girl tag

Over at the Crafty Secrets blog it's time for their Linky Party which I always intend making things for and then almost always miss the deadline - but not this time!!!

I've used the gorgeous Garden Girls stamp set to make this tag. I used distress inks to colour the background then stamped the sentiment and heat embossed it. Then I stamped some of the flowerpots and watering cans with distress ink straight on to the tag.

The main image was stamped using Memento ink on to watercolour paper and then painted with Derwent Inktense pencils before cutting it out.

I think my mojo may be returning!!!

Crafty Secrets hanging

Over on the Crafty Secrets blog it's time for their Linky Party and after meaning to make something for the past few I managed to play along this time.

I've made a fabric wallhanging using a stamp from the Fairyland stamp plate, fabric and felt:

I stamped the image on to cotton using Memento ink and added some colour using Spectrum Noir pens. I then layered up the felt and fabric and some lace. The hanging cord was made by making a length of french knitting.

The beads at the bottom were made using various ones from my stash:

Materials used: Crafty Secrets stamp, Memento ink, Spectrum Noir pens, fabric, felt, Wild Orchid flowers, beaded embellishment, french knitted cord, beads.

It's also Jess's 5th birthday (I know - where did the time go?!?!?) on Sunday so MIL is coming to stay today and more family will be joining us for the day......can't wait! :-)

Crafty Secrets

I've recently bought my first Crafty Secrets stamps and just got around to playing with them and making a tag. I then had a look at the SCS forum and found that the Crafty Secrets challenge for this week is to make a tag...how fortuitous LOL!!

I made a tag using scrap cardstock which I coloured using wax watercolour crayons and then edged with distress embossing powder. The images were stamped on to Kraft cardstock using Versafine ink and then coloured with Prismacolor pencils.

Materials used: scrap cardstock, kraft cardstock, Crafty Secrets stamps - Born To Fly, Versafine sepia ink, Prismacolor pencils, Tim Holtz tissue tape, Reeves watercolour wax crayons, Ranger distress embossing powder. Cuttlebug embossing folder, lace, velvet ribbon, silver edged ribbon, Wild Orchid Crafts roses, button, staples.
