Washing washing washing!!!

Not been on for a few days as been busy sorting through the bags of baby stuff from up in the loft. Have washed car seat covers and various bodysuits and sleepsuits - just need to wash moses basket linen and more clothes!! Also got to make sure that the car seat fits in my car as I've got a different car since the last time seat was used!!! Just been to midwife's drop-in clinic as bump has been feeling very strange today and thought it may have gone back-to-back but it hasn't. They think it may be starting to turn though so fingers crossed. I'm now measuring 37cm though and I'm only 34 weeks tomorrow so they think baby's going to be a big one. I have a proper appointment in a couple of weeks so we're hoping it'll definitely be the right way then. Got my package from Jill on Monday but not got around to using new stash yet. Hopefully have a play around later, but first I have to put the finishing touches to a set of tags I'm making as part of our team swap on UKScrappers. Am slightly behind with mine as I had to wait for some Photobox photos to finish them off. Tomorrow I'm off to do the weekly shop with my neighbour and then Friday I'm planning on going into town with Mum for a few hours then she's staying and having tea so she can see the boys as she hasn't seen them since she babysat for us at the end of January.

The weekend starts here!

Up earlier than normal as baby was quite active so I'm making the most of the peace and quiet.! Finished a LO yesterday:

This was Matthew in his nativity play December 2006. I was so proud of him actually getting up on stage and doing his bit as he is normally very shy and his confidence is so low.

Don't know what made me use these colours as they're pastels! - think I was probably just dying to use some of my DCWV Spring Stack and the new spring cardstock.

Waiting to see if the postie brings me anything this morning as I ordered a few bits from the lovely Jill last week - KI Memories basics stamps, 2 packs of AC mini marks rub-ons and a set of Lil Davis love stamps. Would love to get them today so I can have a play over the weekend.

Off to the library later to take "Shopaholic and Baby" back and see what new books they have in. I love the fact that they have a "7 day" system now where the latest books are available but you can only borrow them for 7 days - it means there's always loads on the shelves to choose from but you have to read them quickly - it's not a problem until you see about 6 of your favourite authors have released new books at the same time! Think I saw a new Judy Astley and Emma Blair there last week so hoping I can grab one today.

Postie has just been and no package for me today :(

It's here!!!!

My pushchair arrived about 40 minutes ago and I have put the cosytoes on, tried the raincover on, laid the seat back, adjusted the leg rest, put the brakes on, taken the brakes off, wheeled it up and down the living room etc......... One very happy bunny here!

Happy Dance!!!!

For some unknown reason I went on Ebay this morning for a quick look ( I never usually go on in the mornings before the school run) and lo and behold - the pushchair I had been after was on there for £59.99 with £10 for postage so of course I had to click on the buy-it-now!!!! Am so chuffed that I don't have to spend any more time trawling around real life or internet shops looking for something suitable as we tried this one out before and it ticked all the boxes. *insert smiling face here*
Have rung my Mum to tell her we don't need to go out to look for one tomorrow which has worked out well for her too as she has stuff she needs to do so instead we're going to go out on a "girlie shopping day" sometime next week. Woo-hoo!!! Off to do another happy dance!!!

Turn turn turn!!!!

Well went to the midwife yesterday - don't need iron tablets and blood sugar OK. Baby is doing absolutely fine too although it has decided to flip over completely and is now in the breech position!! Not too worried at the moment as I still have, in theory, 7 weeks to go and have been told to spend time crawling around the floor to try and get it to move. Apparently there are a couple of Drs in the maternity unit who will externally rotate babies and there is also the option of reflexology that works. I'm adamant that I do not want a C-section and will do anything to avoid it. Jamie came home from school in shorts yesterday - seems that one of the boys (7 years old!) in his class was standing next to Jamie's table where he was working and peed himself - the result was Jamie's trousers and sweatshirt getting splashed! First day back at school and uniform washed already! Off out soon as my car is booked in for a service. Going with a bag of stuff to keep me occupied as it's going to take about 2 hours. Finished "Shopaholic and Baby" last night so have started another Tina Reilly who is a fab author. Also pivking up a couple of mags at the petrol station on the way cos I can then sit and do some puzzles. Right off to get organized now as I have to leave in 10 mins!

Still here...

yes really!!!! Had quite a good time at my Dad's and actually managed to offload the kids for the odd hour here and there so I could have a rest. Went to the Motor Museum at Sparkford and touched the car that I'd lusted after for years and years - a Detomaso Pantera

Not the actual one as I forgot to take a camera but oh how I love these cars!!! Also had to stop myself from licking a Dodge Viper as I would kill for one of those but there you go!..........

Since I've been back I seem to have spent hours online trying to find a pushchair as I want to have one soon so it's one less thing to worry about. Not a difficult task you would think but it's giving me headaches! The one pushchair we'd seen in ToysRUs is no longer available and some have come up on Ebay but I missed them all. Today I dragged the family back to that shop to have a look at other options to get an idea of quality ets. Decided we don't like the shop's own brand stuff as it felt quite flimsy, woudn't buy Graco again as the last pushchair we had was cack but we do like the quality of Cosatto and Chicco. Have spent hours comparing the 2 makes online and they both have some nice looking ones with cosytoes and raincovers included but I really need to see them IRL so have called on Mum and we're going to a large baby equipment shop on Friday to have a look around. We need a chair that's suitable from birth, various lie-back positions, adjustable leg-reat, cosytoes and raincover included, a high handle height so Neil doesn't break his back pushing it, and has to be preferably under £100!! Wish me luck!

Have managed to do one bit of crafting since I've been back as I can't sit down and bend over my desk for too long - a card for my Great-Aunty's 80th birthday:

A really simple one using some of those gorgeous new Kate Knight papers, orange mulberry paper, DCWV cardstock and Royal Langernickel rub-ons. Just hope she likes it!!! Off for a midwife appointment in the morning - should be at 10.15 but if past experience is anything to go by I won't get seen until at least 11.00! Will take "Shopaholic and Baby" to read while I'm waiting as that should pass the time. I'm halfway through it at the moment and really enjoying it but then I love all Sophie Kinsella books. Kids return to school tomorrow (yippee!!!!) so back to having a bit of time to myself although this week is looking to be fairly busy - Monday is midwife, Tuesday - car service, Wednesday clear so far, Thursday - shopping and Friday - searching for pushchairs and then also have to fit in laundry and emptying out kitchen cupboards in readiness for a new dishwasher going in. Can't complain about the last job though as aving a dishwasher will be an absolute godsend which we couldn't really have afforded if it wasn't for the maternity grant.

Still awake

so I can scrap! Have had to stay awake this afternoon as OH has gone out for a walk on Dartmoor so I have the kids. Have managed one LO of Jamie on his birthday last year:

He loved his Dalek birthday cake as you can tell by that enormous smile!

Had a bit of a nightmare and managed to smudge loads of stamping so had to cut a strip of cardstock to cover it which shows up badly on the scan but isn't too conspicuous in real life.

Tomorrow I may not have a chance to scrap as I'm supposed to be sorting out clothes and packing. I'm off with the boys for a few days to spend time at my Dad's up in Somerset so hoping to put my feet up and do lots of reading while I'm up there. Also a great excuse to go to bed early as they don't tend to have the tv on much and go to bed fairly early so I won't feel rude if I go to bed at 9.30 like I did last night!

Off to see if I can get another LO done before I have to cook tea!

Finally......

finished a LO!

So now I've done one I may just get my arse into gear and do some more! Have spent the morning surfing when I was going to do other things but at least I have managed to get onto my 2nd load of washing - I think the pile upstairs is still another 2 loads though!

Right - off to have a play for a while before Home and Away comes on!!

Been shopping!!!

Went to Toys R US this morning to buy a travel cot and highchair:
Aiming to have the baby sleep in our room in the travel cot for the first few months and then we'll need the cot for camping etc. This one has a bassinet and also a changing table that fits across the top so will be quite handy. Not my preferred colour choice but it will be practical for camping.
The chair is one of Toys R Us own brand and has a 3 position recline seat along with height adjustment. We had been going to buy the Chicco chair (which is what we had for both of the boys) but when we looked at it we decided it wasn't as well made as the previous one we had and felt quite flimsy in comparison. Went with this one instead and saved £30 in the process.
Now all we have left to buy is a dishwasher and a changing mat - Neil's parents are buying us a pushchair (after a Cosatto one) and my parents are buying us a door bouncer after I sold the last one on Ebay!!!!
Neil is now watching tv so I may scrap for a while as he's going to be watching CSI New York and then I'll watch our recording of NCIS. Hpoing to get back into scrapping as I have loads of gorgeous photos sitting here just begging to be scrapped., not to mention all that stash to use!
