Art Colouring Books

Tomorrow,  2 fab new Art Colouring Books from Katy Sue Designs with artwork by Sandra Rushton are being sold on Create and Craft at 12:00pm and again at 5:00pm.

I was lucky enough to be asked to colour some examples from one of the books, Le Shoe, and have a few examples to share now:

There is another book available - Nautical Adventures -  and both books are already available on Amazon:

Both books are spiral bound and printed on one side on lovely quality white paper. They have 70 pages of shaded and unshaded images which are fab to colour!

Art Colouring Books Facebook page is here.

Here's today's offering - I actually started it a couple of weeks ago but then put it to one side so I could play with my new pencils.

Another Enchanted Forest colouring....

I'm going to apologise in advance for the photos of this one - I took at least 20 trying to get a good shot but unless there's something seriously wrong with my eyes they all look terrible LOL!

Anyway, this is a double page spread from Johanna Basford's Enchanted Forest book done using mainly Prismacolor pencils with a couple of green Polychromos pencils and a couple of green Spectrum Noir pencils.

Today is the last day of school for Jess and Jamie (Matt finishes tomorrow) and Jess and I are looking forward to lots of quality colouring time together.

Millie Marotta - Tropical Wonderland - 2nd page

After a busy couple of weeks (if you can call watching Wimbledon that?) I'm back with another coloured page from Millie Marotta's Tropical Wonderland book

Again I used Prismacolor pencils, Spectrum Noir pencils and a few of the only Polychromos pencils I have (greens)

Before I go, I had a comment from Diane asking why I arranged my pencils in the order that I do but I can't find any way to contact you Diane so will answer here. The Prismacolors were only arranged like that to mimic a downloadable colour chart I found online which makes it a lot easier for me to choose my colours quickly as I have it sat on my desk all the time.

Relax with Art - Issue 2- First page

I bought the 2nd issue of the Relax with Art magazine/book the other day

and split the pages between Jess and myself. We took all the pages out by removing the staples then guillotined all of them before deciding who was going to colour which picture. I ended up with the more complicated and detailed pics.

I started colouring the pattern using just one tin of Spectrum Noir pencils but having just bought Jess some gel pens I "borrowed" a couple and used those too. The purple one was metallic and the gold glittery although they don't show up very well in the photo:

I quite enjoyed this one as a change from colouring leaves and flowers - now I'm off to decide what to colour next.
