I can't believe that it's the end of January already! Where has this month gone? Have you checked out Di's sketch this week? Some great cards by the sketch girls over there - here's mine:

Managed to do this LO today while trying to cope with a nose like a dripping tap - yet another cold!

Used: DCWV card, Doodlebug papers, Cuttlebug Red Tag alphabet and You're not the boss of me alphabet cut in funky foam, Doodlebug ric-rac, October Afternoon journalling stamp, Ancient Page ink, Papermania clip, Papermania brad, DCWV stickers, Marvy pen, tag from cheap craft shop, unknown brads (candy cane and Christmas tree), staples.

who is my Mum's new dog. He's a 5 month old border terrier and looks gorgeous! Hopefully I'll get to meet him soon. :)

Thanks card

CSD challenge for the day was to make a Thanks card - here's mine:

Used: Papermill card, KI memories diamond patterned paper from Funky Pad II, black/white paper by Sande Krieger at TwoPeas, Nestabilities die-cuts, Cuttlebug die-cut "thanks", Technique Tuesday straight and narrow stamp, black Versafine ink, unknown ribbon, Making Memories gem stickers.

Another 12 x 12!

No matter how hard I tried I just couldn't fit all 3 of these photos on to a 8.5" x 11" LO and get it to look right so I had to resort to 12" x 12" ( I really don't like scrapping in this size!):

I used: Provocraft cardstock, HOTP papers, Creative Cafe rub-on alphabet, Sizzlits Round-a-bout alphabet diecuts, Creative Cafe rub-on flowers and corners, chipboard heart, Ranger crackle paint, American Crafts rub-on butterfly, white Signo pen, chipboard arrow, distress ink, Marvy pens, chalk.

Felt......

So the challenge for the card-a-day over at CSD was to use felt. I started making one card but didn't like how it was looking so binned it and started again! Here's my finished card:

I used: DCWV cardstock, DCWV retro paper, paper downloaded from Lettering Delights, black Versafine ink, unknown ribbon (may be May Arts), Nestabilities die-cut, felt cut using Cuttlebug red tag sale dies, MAMBI thread and unknown make of safety pin.

Chipboard

The challenge for the "card-a-day" over on CSD forum was to use chipboard :

Used: Papermill card, Papermania retro floral paper, May Arts ribbon, cheap chipboard sticker and my sewing machine.

Hoping my new toy turns up tomorrow - ordered the Quickutz Daisy skinni mini font using the last of my Christmas vouchers from my in-laws , so looking forward to playing with that and wishing that I hadn't sold my other fonts when I sold my Quickutz tool!

Sketch this #40

It's ages since I've done a Sketch this LO with being so busy in the run-up to Christmas making 8 x 8 albums but I finally got around to a LO today. This one's for sketch #40:

I used: Deja Views Sharon Ann papers and vellum, Brenda Walton stamp (from maison frames set), red chalk ink, Marvy pen, unknown gingham ribbon, Papermania fabric flower, Papermania brads, Cuttlebug tag.

So much..

..for getting some crafting done at the weekend!! I ended up buying some glass jars and re-organizing my ribbon and then when that was done I started on my desk and the shelves above it! I have made a card today though using one of Janelle's sketches on the CSD forum:

Today is upload day for Di's card sketch so here is my card:

I used: Papermill card, DCWV paper (from Spring Stack), Cactus Pink stamp (from seeds set), black Perfect Medium ink, spring green Pearl-ex, Prima flowers, black brads, May Arts ribbon, Studio G stamp, black Brlliance ink and a black Sakura Micron pen.

Nothing else to show yet as I've been a wee bit busy with Jess who seems to be incredibly grouchy, clingy and won't settle to sleep properly. I'm hoping that it's just her teething as we're still waiting for the first one to come through!

CPS #45

With being so busy completing the 2 albums for Christmas it's ages since I've done any blog challenges so last night I had a go at CPS #45

2 quick ones

Managed another 2 quick LOs last night:

Used: DCWV cardstock, SEI alphabet stickers, Sizzlits round-a-bout die-cuts, Sakura Micron pen and Deluxe Designs chalk.

This one is an 8" x 8" LO. The photo is really bad quality but it's the only one I have of me and my brother with our grandparents and even with a lot of playing around with it in Photoshop this in the best I could get it looking.

All the journalling is under the photo.

Used: DCWV cardstock, Deluxe Designs alphabet stickers, MM hinges, Sizzlits and Cuttlebug die-cut flowers in felt and card, brads, buttons, Scrapworks dotz, Bo Bunny sticker.

Trying to get as much scrapping done as possible before the boys go back to school next week and I lose my babysitters! LOL!
