Di's card sketch July #5

Card sketch day over at Di's blog yesterday and here's my card:

I used: Papermill card, DCWV paper, KI Memories paper, Heidi Grace quote stamp, Dauber Duo inks, HOTP blossom and button, paper lace ribbon.

I used: DCWV cardstock, Heidi Grace papers (A Little Bird's Tale), Heidi Swapp chipboard alphabet (recoloured with pen), Heidi Grace stamp ("sweet pea" from Baby set), black Versafine ink, Heidi Grace rub-ons (trees from A Little Bird's Tale), Heidi Swapp flower and bling, black Signo pen.

Di's card sketch July #4

Yesterday was card sketch day over at Di's blog and here's my card:

I used: Papermill card, My Mind's Eye Magnolia papers, Versamagic chalk ink, chipboard and paper lace ribbon by CraftWork from bargain shop, organza ribbon and MM brads.

Tomorrow is the boys last day at school before the summer holidays start and then they're off until September 4th. We have a few things planned but being on a budget we're trying to keep the cost down and do one "big" thing in each week. Other than that we have plans for them to do some scrapbooking and also making Christmas cards which should be fun. They both love being creative especially if they get to use my Cuttlebug and stamps!

Yesterday...

Yesterday was the Governor's Assembly at the boys' school and as I knew Jamie was due to receive a prize Jess and I went along. Jamie had no idea whatsoever until his picture and name appeared on the projection screen and he went up to receive his prize for "creativity". Because I was sat right at the back of the hall I couldn't get a very good photo so had to get him out in the garden after school to pose with his trophy.

Matthew performed a song with the rest of his class about fishes, squid and whales and had to wear a wonderful piece of whale headgear that he made. To see him actually stand up in front of a crowd and perform was absolutely brilliant as he has so little confidence and had it been a year ago would probably have refused to do it! However he wasn't to happy to pose for photos when he got home as you can tell by the look on his face - I don't think the heat here was helping much!

As I was outside taking photos of the boys I had to take a few of Jess too - here she is wearing her cute dress and her new "oos" as she calls her shoes! I bought her a couple of pairs a few weeks ago and she loves them.

Everytime I tell her we need to put her shoes on she goes and gets them and then either sits down on the bottom step of the stairs or stand up, holds on to me and lifts her foot in the air while saying "oos".

Cute aren't they!! She loves the ones with the sequins on and will always choose those over the plain trainers!

New Collab: Circle of Friends

I made this hybrid LO using the new Limited edition collab kit from Designs by Lili and Kate Hadfield :

I used: Papers, flowers and "friends" all digital from collab kit, Bazzill cardstock, Making memories foam alpha stamps, black Versafine ink, gel pens- black, white, blue and pink.

Oh my! It's a LO!

So, I finally managed to sit down last night and do a complete LO!!

Ooops - been a bad blogger due to one thing or another! Hayfever, Wimbledon and searching for a new fridge freezer have meant not much crafting or blogging being done!
