Family Memories

Here's a layout I made to share on the Make The Day Special blog today using stamps from Unity's July 2010 store kit available from the shop here. It features Jess and my MIL on Jess' 3rd birthday last year.

I started by stamping the key background stamp on lightly patterned paper and used this as a background layer on my layout. I layered various papers before stamping the quote over the left hand side and then the sewing border at the bottom. The title was stamped by masking off some of the "Family Friends and memories" stamp. I then stamped the butterfly on to textured cardstock and then added a hint of colour using my long neglected chalks.

Materials used: Papermania cardstock, MAMBI Scrappy Chic papers, Unity stamps (as above), brown Memento ink, brown Versamgic ink, Deluxe Designs chalks, K & Co die-cuts, cotton lace.
