Today is the day for Di's card sketch so here's my card:

Had been hoping to get some more stuff made tomorrow but have one sick boy not going to school tomorrow having just been sick everywhere! He went to a birthday party tonight but as he doesn't usually eat very much, especially in different places. I doubt whether this is what made him ill. There has been a bug going around the school and I think it may be his turn. I just hope and pray that no-one else gets it especially Jess!

Busy little bee!!!

I'm trying to fill an 8" x 8" album each for my Mum and MIL for Christmas so I've been busy working on LOs for them - that's a total of 40 layouts before Christmas unless I buy extra page protectors! I'm keeping all the layouts fairly simple to fit in more with Mum's and MIL's likes so they're fairly easy at the moment.

Jess astounded us today by pulling herself up to a standing position while holding on to the settee! Not bad going considering she was only 7 months old last week!

DCM - Golden Highlights

The dare over at DCM this week was to use gold so of course I had to find some way of incorporating the use of my new Cuttlebug!

Used: Papermill cardstock, gold foil, gold paper, Creative Cafe rub-on and unknown make of ribbon.

Crafting is becoming slightly more difficult now as Jess is fully mobile! She had been rolling around the room or doing a commando crawl but has now mastered proper crawling and is getting around like a bat out of hell so I need to have eyes in the back of my head!!

3 more LOs to upload. I bought a really cheap 8 x8 album a couple of weeks ago so have started to scrap some of my odd photos in that size. I've been on a stash diet since the beginning of this month and was going to do 50 LOs before I could buy any stash but unfortunately tonight I won a Cuttlebug alphabet on Ebay! However I'm still going to force myself to use some of my stash so LOs and cards you see may contain some very old stash as I try to use the mountains I already have!

CPS #39

Well, I had a fab day yesterday. With my birthday money I have ordered a Cuttlebug and a few embossing folders and dies - have been after one of these for ages and can't wait for it to arrive now! I already had a sewing machine from the OH a while ago and the kids bought me the new Matchbox Twenty - Exile on Mainstream CD. Today Matthew is home from school as he's feeling sick but he's been sat on the sofa watching tv all morning so I've managed to finish this card for CPS #39

So a day late but here's my card for Di's sketch this week.

I've had a bit of a busy week so far, hence the lack of posts but I'm happy to report that my Christmas shopping is almost finished and the boys have new school sweatshirts (after 2 trips to the schoolwear shop!). After all that shopping I have laundry that I need to catch up on but Jess has started being really clingy and doesn't like me out of her sight so she's "helping" me!

Yesterday was Jamie's 8th birthday so my parents came over to have a birthday tea with us. Then today we went to Toys R Us with the boys clutching their birthday money and came back with a ton of Lego (mostly Star Wars). We also had to exchange the Roboraptor that my Mum had bought him as it was as dead as a dodo! Tomorrow will now be spent making up the rest of their Lego models while I try to keep Jess occupied and out of the way!
